Ratneshwar Mahadev - A Forgotten Temple

Ratneshwar Mahadev a 1200 Years old Hidden Shiva Temple Located at Ratanpur Village of Panchmahal District in Gujarat. There is No Proper History Available of this Temple Locals are Saying that, Temple was Built by a Ratansinh Solanki King of a Ratanpur State.
Now a time Ratanpur is a Small Village of Panchmahal District But Before & During british Rule it Was a State and Small Kingdom of Solanki Dynasty.
Some Peoples are Saying that, this Temple was Built by Pandavas it may be a Fact Because During Mahabharat Times this was a Hidimba Forest and Here is a many monuments Which are Related to Mahabharat.

Carving of this temple will Attract you.
According to Me Carvings are:
Two Elephants Fighting by rotating Wheel by Leg and Rope Pulling by Warriors Sitting on Elephant are Shown.
Beautiful Smiling Face on Pillars.
Broken Remnants Of Temple
Ganesha idol Found 300 mtr far from Temple Area.

Warriors on Elephants

According to the locals, the Shivlinga of this temple increases to the size of a grain of rice year by year. If the archeology department makes the peak of this temple as it was before,it is likely to be a small tourist and devotees attraction.

How Temple Found:
Before 2008 half of this Temple was Under the Farm soil and Nobody Knows that this temple have big platform and other Remnants also.
in 2008 ONGC Workers Doing Their Work of Digging and Fitting Pipeline From Months and One Day Some Labour Found a Hard Surface While Digging and they Called their Engineer, Engineer Saw this and He Realized that this is a Part of this Temple and that Engineer Informed ASI (Archeological Survey of INDIA) and After that ASI team Came there and Under the Guidance of ASI team that Whole Area of Farm Was Digged and They Found Actual Structure of Temple and Ganesha idol found 300mtr far from Temple Area.
Villagers are Saying that there is a StepWell also but Nobody Knows Where it is.
Many people of the surrounding villages and Town do not even know about this place When i post on Social Media about this Temple Many People Came to Know About this and Many E-News Reporter Posted on Their Websites. My Town is 15km Away From this Temple and i also dont Know About this I Found this Place While Exploring Hidden Places of Panchmahal District of Gujarat.

The temple is currently in the Supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India.
Before Some years this place is Declared as Protected Monuments of india to be of National Importance.
